Submitted December 4, 2011 Description The organization I have selected is the company I work for, CMH Systems. The core functions of this business are Therapy, Counseling, Placement, and Job skills to name a few. This is a Mental Health Organization that compiles and disburses many services, including Doctors, Prescriptions, Hospitalization, and Housing of Mentally or emotionally challenged individuals. Protecting client information is essential. The integrity of such information is critical. We are currently in an affiliation with other CMH agencies and service providers across the state. I chose this agency because it is evolving so fast. IT is involved in every aspect of this organization and keeping abreast of changes are a†¦show more content†¦The way we are currently conducting business is that we are completely different entities, and we have no direct recourse over what goes on there. The reason for the change in design is vital to the way we conduct business now and has a definite impact on the future. I propose the agencies come together in one coordinated model. Reasons being, although we have separate management we serve the same general population. As the governing body, we are ultimately responsible for data integrity and state mandated reporting. At this point, in our business, we collect data separately and the individual IT staff of each unit is responsible for the extraction of date, once collected it is sent to us for submission to the state. Due to the different collection methods involved, we are presented files that need to be corrected each month. In order to eliminate the process of double duty we need to implement the coordinated model. †¢ steps recommended to achieve an operating model Implement and maintain a private vpn between agencies. This allows for a continuos connection for the transmission and reception of data. The data collected would allow our IT staff to export necessary data for submission. Train the staff involved in the proper methods of extracting files required by the State. Comparison and Contrast of Two Gothic Cathedrals Gothic Style is some of the most beautiful works of art that man have ever made. It originated with the Romanesque style of building which lasted for about one hundred years before it was replaced by Gothic styles. The founder of the Gothic style was a man by the name of Abbot Suger. Notre Dame de Chartres cathedral was built in France between 1145 and 1513 and is Gothic architecture. Another Gothic architecture is the Bourges and it is located in Bourges France. Both of these works of art are very similar with many different features. When Abbot Suger created the Gothic style he had in mind to create a church to pay respects to God by illuminating light with stained glass.†¦show more content†¦When comparing the two buildings both consist of glass that was stained. The windows in the Bourges cathedral were stained with stories of the Old Testament. Both the Notre Dame de Chartres and the Bourges Cathedral are expressions of a new age of faith that grew out of the mediev al Christian theology and mysticism, (Frank, Patrick). The Notre Dame de Chartres was used for meetings, concerts, and religious plays. It was the only indoor space that could hold all of the towns’ people. Most importantly, the Chartres cathedral was used as a place for worship. The Bourges cathedral was dedicated to Saint Stephen and was also used as a place for worship. While constructing both of these cathedrals there were sculptures created that represented narratives of theology and mysticism. Both were created for a place of worship that’s why sculptures and paintings of religious images were added. This showed a great respect for the belief in Christ and the surrounding believers. Both of these cathedrals are representations of the Catholic faith and the cathedrals were renown in their societies. The have been many structural grievances over the years. Grant it, they are all dead, theyall either went out of their way to help others or believed in something sostrong they were forever be remembered. Not many people of today would leavetheir possessions to help poor people or travel through mine fields to see whatit is like for everyday travel in some parts or the world, and these examplesare few compared to the many heroes of today. Most heroes are everyday peoplewho fight to keep down two jobs to feed their family. Heroism is a selfless act ofcourage but in todays world it is shortened to just a selfless act. The more ofthese selfless acts you do, the more people will like you. That is why famouspeople try to do something nice at least once a year, instead of doing thesethings all the time because they know its the right thing to do. In conclusion,I think that society has changed drastically in the views on many topics, andheroism is just one of them. The only reason these views change is becausesociety thinks they are doing the right thing by making big deals out of littlethings. In Beowulfs times one had to earn the title of hero, now they slap iton anyone who does something nice just to better themselves. I am not sayingthat all people are these false heroes, because the people I mentioned earlierwere not false. They really did earn the title of hero.
